I love magnolias. To me, they are the cold, British equivalent of Japanese sakura blossoms and they just bring me joy. They seem to have become more popular in gardens in recent years (or maybe I’m just edging closer to middle age and noticing them more) and always signal the beginning of Spring.
I recently dragged the husband and son to Westonbirt Arboretum in the hope of viewing the first blossoms. We were a little early for the majority, but I still managed a to capture a few to warm my heart.
